Abstract
Field Data Gone Virtual Track: Teaching with GIS Author(s): Laurie Molina, David Arthur This session will discuss the successes and challenges of taking technology out of a controlled environment and pushing it to its limits, as well as how to enhance a curriculum with field work and the tools used by geographers such as Geographic Information Systems and Global Positioning Systems. This project is an example of what can happen if you pair traditional field methods with the technologies available in schools today.
