Abstract
Buckminster Fuller Institute's EarthSCOPE--ArcIMS in Multimedia Track: Community Projects and Partnerships Author(s): Philip D. Mielke The Buckminster Fuller Institute has developed their second release of EarthSCOPE, which utilizes ArcIMS within a Macromedia Flash environement. Intended as a tool for education, the robust navigation leads users through a series of modules that contain text, images and videos, and now has the ArcIMS framework that will allow GIS to enter into the equation. The Buckminster Fuller Institute has made partnerships with the American Academy for the Advancement of Sciences, Earthspan, LoMap, and the Native Lands projects to showcase interactive "geo-stories."
