Abstract
Energize Your GIS Program Track: Designing Curriculum & Degree Programs Author(s): Robert Welch Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan, offers a two year associates degree program in GIS and Geospatial technologies. The program started in 1986 and is the oldest operating program in the United States. This past year the program has moved to a new 260,000 sq.ft. state of the art technology center. The program has also developed a new alternative energy option as part of the colleges' new Alternative Energy Engineering Technology Center. Learn about the new courses and technologies applied to working partnerships with utilities, energy engineers and the software technologies associated with integration of the various alternative energy sources.
