AbstractBuilding a Geospatial Technology Training Center Track: Designing Curriculum and Degree Programs for Higher Education Author(s): Rodney Jackson The Geospatial Business Hub Project has begun to prepare a trained workforce by means of a flexible instructional program that provides for an associate's degree option with strong industry involvement and an apprenticeship component. The program has numerous specialty certificates in high demand technical applications and customized training that meets the quickly-changing needs of business and industry. The Geospatial Business Hub Project will enable the placement of new workers into their first profession and channel displaced workers into a growing, high-demand field. This program was built to act as a national model to assist in the distribution of training materials and resources to other higher education institutions around the nation.
