Sydney Olympic Park is well known for the Games 2000 but less known for its rich history and diversified physical landscapes, which provides an excellent site for school education as well as at tertiary level. Sydney Olympic Park Authority and its Parkland Foundation, with assistance from Esri Australia, have dedicated resources to develop a web GIS-based learning model for high schools of NSW. The prototype is developed with ArcIMS. It contains four modules catered for different age group: primary school, years 7~8, 9~10 and 11~12 and also potential for Geography Teachers. The modules include the topics of "Change Over Time", "Urban Planning" and "Impact of Sealevel Rise" The paper describes the Learning Model project with demonstrations. Advantages and disadvantages of the approach are also discussed.
