Making Spatial Decisions in Earth and Environmental Science: New Curricula
Track: Teaching with GIS in Schools
Author(s): Kathryn Keranen, Bob Kolvoord

We have developed a new set of activities featuring spatial decision making in Earth and Environmental Science for college and high school students. These activities features GIS as an integrated tool, rather than a burdensome add on. They also focus on key content and concepts in these areas, but taught and reinforced using geospatial data. In this session, we will demo a few activities and describe the overall structure and concept of these two collections. We will also describe the different datasets used and help participants understand how to customize these datasets for their own locations.
