GIS in Educational Research: 'Geography of Opportunity'

Recent major papers have integrated GIS in educational research. In the 2008 AERA Presidential Address entitled 'Geography of Opportunity,' new directions for locating educational research in GIS became mainstream. Contributions to discussions on poverty, development and education may now move beyond 'data-driven decision-making' to problem-solving.
