Getting Involved: Community Mapping Projects at CNM

Community mapping projects provide opportunities to support worthwhile causes, as well as unique educational opportunities for students. Over the past 4 years, students at Central New Mexico Community College have been involved in local, regional and international mapping projects. Products generated by the students have supported neighborhood associations, international relief efforts, and water rights among others. This presentation will explore the opportunities for success and potential pitfalls of student-based projects and alliances.
