The Community College of Baltimore County is the only community college in the State of Maryland that offers an A.A.S. degree (and 2 certificates) in Geospatial Applications. The program was formally approved by the Maryland Higher Education commission in the fall of 2006 and has now become a self-sustaining curriculum whose students have produced award winning maps. This presentation will cover topics including course design and curricula, lab design (hardware and software), articulation patterns, project ideas, internship design, etc. Attendees will be provided with complete documentation of the CCBC Geospatial curriculum that they can use as a model.
