AbstractUniversity Campus Management with ArcGIS Server and Adobe Flex Track: GIS for Administration, Planning and Policy Author(s): Aaron Addison, Brad Averbeck Many Universities have explored GIS as a way to communicate various campus activies to students, faculty and staff only to be discouraged by the non technical nature of their audience. Casual users do not have the GIS skills to navigate layers and datasets. Washington University in St. Louis has implemented the Esri Flex Viewer templates to communicate GIS data to a wide range of users. We have applications that our police, facilites, administration and entire campus community use on a daily basis. With the Flex templates, rich ArcGIS applications can be deployed with limited techincal staff and/or programming experience. ArcGIS Online Data and locally stored data can be reused and secured on an as needed basis.
