The migration phenomena in Amazon is a complex object. Normally it’s characterised by a high dynamic mobility inside the different generations. The immigrants profile, the Brazilian economic and politic context and in nowadays the gravitational attraction, constructed by the big cities, represents some causes used by the researchers to understand these behaviours. All hypothesis are not opposed and they allows us explain how the Amazonians spaces were occupied based in a temporal dimension.
The aim of this paper is discuss the utility of Arcgis to understand the spatial analysis of the Amazon migrations flows. Using demography data based in a history of life, all cities lived by the local habitants were mapped and thanks for the Tracking Analyst, we can develop the typologies to understand this phenomena. So the motivations, distance and time spent in each migration process are some elements used to develop a spatial analyse.
