Abstract
Applying Geography Information Technologies in basic geography education

The New geography as a geography trend has been considered as a base of the elements that belongs before only to the physics and mathematics sciences. In this ways this tendency introduces the locacional theory, the network systems and the statistical analysis, all of these have been implemented in a successfully way by the Geography Information Technologies.
This project has a principal objective to make a reflection regarding the impact of the new geography in the development of the Geography Information Technologies and how all these concepts are applying in an efficient mode using technological tools for teaching geography in different education level in the basic school in Bogota city
