Abstract
Story Maps to Manage Resources with a New Endangered Species
Track: User Presentations - Learning and Research
Authors: Frank Wideman
The community is facing a new challenge with the declaration as endangered of a small fish in the local cave system, called the grotto sculpin. The karst landscape presents a challenge to the farming practices and housing development of the area. The history of the community, the soils, the bedrock geology and the development so far are needed to understand the issues and are also perfect subjects to illustrate in a map story. This presentation will illustrate that story.
