Abstract
Building the Spatial University: Defining a 'Minor' in Spatial Studies
Track: Teaching and Research
Authors: Josef Strobl, Adrijana Car
Geospatial concepts, methods and techniques are increasingly important complementary qualifications for numerous academic disciplines. Selecting a minor in spatial studies / GIS is an attractive option for a well-rounded professional. The authors propose a curriculum framework aimed at infusing spatial thinking and methodological competences into a range of majors. The proposed minor is aligned with established 'bodies of knowledge', implemented as a 'profile' and elementary learning pathway.
