Abstract
Mapping High Tunnels in Kentucky: An Undergraduate Engagement Grant
Track: Teaching and Research
Authors: Kevin Cary, Ryan Uthoff
This project is a Faculty-Undergraduate Student Engagement grant on mapping high tunnels (HTs), or hoop greenhouses, in Kentucky of those participating in the USDA Environmental Quality Incentives Program. Only County level data was available and acquired by using the Freedom of Information Act. HTs are mapped and evaluated using spatial statistics. Network service areas of HTs are generated by locating random points within suitable areas ideal for placement and summarized.
