To develop students’ spatial imagination and analysis, Queens University of Charlotte partnered with five local K-12 schools, Discovery Place Science Museum, and Charlotte Storm Water Services to create a community-based field-science project investigating the spatial variability of physical, chemical, and biological conditions of Little Sugar Creek. Students show significant increases in spatial thinking and curiosity. Funding was provided by the Duke Energy Foundation.
