Integrating STEM Skills with Collector App for Underserved Populations

Developing a GIS teaching model for underserved students, including those in developing and third world countries, should include delivery of STEM skills. While infrastructure does not always support this effort, most people now have mobile phones and internet access. Taking instruction out of the classroom and teaching data collection via ArcGIS online and Collector App enables students to develop and use transferrable knowledge. It engages them and extends the life of the learning experience.
