The (con)fusion of Learning and Practice: Storymaps as a Learning Tool

The author has developed storymaps as online learning units, integrating instruction with experiential learning. Linking tasks and assignments into a backdrop of services like the 'Living Atlas' facilitates individualized learning and a (partially) flipped classroom. Real-world problem solving skills are better developed outside the limited world of 'canned' exercises and dedicated assignment data sets.
