NavApps is a mobile game that aims to foster spatial literacy with secondary school students. It is a treasure hunting game in which pupils first delineate their school’s exterior and interior by drawing polygons in a map-based web application, next plant treasures throughout the school premises and indicate them on the map, and finally play by searching for treasures using different way finding methods, using custom WIFI-based indoor localisation. A scoring and ranking system engages students.
