A vast amount of spatial data exists in nonspatial databases in the form of addresses. Geocoding is the process of creating spatial locations from these addresses. This session will review the basic geocoding functionality in ArcGIS and help you with a quick-start experience in learning the basic techniques for geocoding with ArcGIS 10. Best practices of using address locators and geocoding addresses and handling unmatched addresses will be covered through demonstrations using ArcGIS tools. Options for geocoding internationally will also be covered.
