FireRAMM: Remote Access Mapping Module Author: Robert Forbes Lutz Hall room 219 Phone: 502-852-2698 FireRAMM is a GIS application that has been developed by the University of Louisville Center for GIS for the Harrods Creek, Kentucky, Fire Protection District. FireRAMM is an on-truck mapping application utilizing a planimetric/topographic GIS database to provide firefighters with the ability to identify the location of a fire run while enroute. FireRAMM also provides information such as previous runs and preincident data sheets. The application is touch screen based to allow the firefighters easy access to information while suited up and driving down the road. The companion application FireEDIT provides the ability to update the GIS database. |
