Author: Ross Paulson 13605 Dulles Technology Drive Phone: 703-793-3700 The Combat Terrain Information Systems (CTIS) program is modeling Vector Product Format (VPF) data using ArcInfo 8 and ArcSDE 8 in the Digital Topographic Support System (DTSS). Utilizing the new geodatabase model within ArcInfo 8, geodatabase objects and associated rules are stored in DTSS to maximize COTS functionality. Without the object-based database model, complex editing and validation code would need to be rewritten when the DTSS is migrated from a UNIX to a Windows NT platform. This presentation will focus on the process of modeling NIMA-based data in the geodatabase object format. |
