Ripley 1601 SW Archer Road Phone: 352.374.6080 The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is one of the largest health care organizations in the United States, consisting of 162 hospitals, nearly 700 ambulatory clinics, and 140 nursing homes. Providing care to our nation's veterans is our primary mission, and VHA uses GIS to determine if the opportunity for health care is appropriate when comparing locations of services to ZIP Code-level patient locations and estimated populations. This assists the VHA and the 22 health care networks in identifying geographic areas where services are needed or potentially insufficient. |
