Weather significantly impacts operational decisions in electric and gas utilities. This paper outlines how weather information such as temperature, wind, NEXRAD radar, and lightning can be integrated with energy-related information in a GIS setting. Examples of combined weather/energy analysis to aid decision support will be presented.
