Weather significantly impacts operational decisions made by emergency, fire, and disaster management organizations. We describe how weather data (such as near real-time NEXRAD weather radar, lightning, severe weather, winds, and forecasts) can be integrated with emergency management-related resources in a GIS environment. Examples of combined weather and GIS information to aid emergency decision support will be presented. |
