MapObjects embedded permit tracking software and portable computers using voice activated systems allow municipal inspectors to conduct and store inspections electronically for others to access. Inspectors access GIS-based permit tracking software to view assigned inspection records that include location, past inspections, permit activity, and linked files such as images, CAD drawings, and documents. Voice activated systems allow inspectors to use electronic checklists to talk their way through the inspection and upload the results, completing the electronic inspection cycle. |
