The Combat Terrain Information Systems (CTIS) program has been developing and deploying the Digital Topographic Support System (DTSS). A primary function of DTSS is to create tactical decision aids (TDAs), such as intervisibility, data query, and mobility analysis, in the field for the battlefield commanders. The next release of DTSS will be developed for Windows NT systems. These TDAs will be integrated into DTSS using ArcInfo 8 and ArcSDE 8 technology. This presentation will focus on the successes and issues uncovered while designing and integrating the TDAs with ArcInfo 8 and ArcSDE 8 in a Windows NT environment.
