Author: Jerry Happel 3625 Talmage Circle Phone: 651 653-5141 The North Metro I35W Corridor Coalition is a group of seven contiguous cities in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metropolitan area. The foundation of the coalition's extensive GIS program is its 55,000-parcel database compiled from several different data suppliers. Efficiently managing this multijurisdictional database and providing quick and easy access to the GIS data by both coalition members and their constituents are of critical importance. The process of integrating the data, identifying anomalies, and disseminating the data via several Internet/Intranet and MapObjects applications will be discussed. Examples will include an online data warehouse, an online atlas, and custom desktop mapping applications. |
