This research examines the potential and problems of incorporating corporate learning into GIS education at the higher education level. Corporate learning is an educational approach with emphasis on group learning. A great majority of GIS projects involve teamwork. If students are to succeed in the job market, they need to learn how to work in a team. It is time for GIS education at the higher education level to address the issues of teamwork skills.
