The new ArcInfo 8 software offers the opportunity to add tools and functionality to existing ArcSDE systems. This session will explore ways to transition the data in existing SDE environments into the new ArcInfo 8 geodatabase environment with a minimum of cost and frustration. Tips and techniques will be described to assist with performing a trouble-free upgrade of existing data sets to allow maximum use of the new ArcInfo 8 tools including ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcToolbox.
