This issue becomes more necessary for agencies that deal with emergency services such as police, fire departments, hospitals, and/or 911 for the USA. To some or many countries, emergency agencies can locate any place easily because of the street address. However, in Saudi Arabia, the case is different due to the lack of street addresses. This paper utilizes ArcView GIS to locate any place based on a telephone call. A special database that can locate a certain location in seconds was developed and linked to ArcView GIS. |
