Since 1996, Esri has been an active cosponsor of the Conservation Technology Support Program (CTSP). The CTSP awards GIS software and supporting hardware to nonprofit environmental organizations. This presentation is an assessment of the progress of two CTSP-supported environmental justice projects. Youth Warriors, Inc., based in Baltimore, Maryland, is applying ArcView GIS in mapping childhood lead soil exposure sources. The Metropolitan Area Council of Black Churches is using ArcView GIS to map and assess the impacts of several local abandoned filling stations.
