Phone: 703.293.4607 Many defense and intelligence organizations have a significant need to create GIS vector data in support of the production of analyzed imagery products. This paper discusses the methods and system design utilized to implement the functions of extraction, archiving, retrieving, analyzing, and editing vector information derived from imagery from within the COTS imagery analysis application ERDAS IMAGINE. Specifically, the developed operational system consists of a spatial data repository utilizing ARC/INFO Map Librarian and a front-end Java/CORBA toolset that together provide the integrated ability to completely access ARC/INFO functionality from entirely within ERDAS IMAGINE Professional. |
