Mapping the News
Track: Geography Network

Developed for the media industry, MapShop is a system of integrated components consisting of analytical mapping tools and data services that can be used on the Internet and the desktop. It is built using Esri's ArcIMS 3.1 software and uses public and private data published through the Geography Network. Users benefit with timely and accurate geographic map data, from global events to local street-level detail, providing a completely new way to create all types of news and map graphics.
