Abstract
Creating and Maintaining a Zoning Layer in Lucas County, Ohio

This paper shows how a zoning layer was created on the Lucas County GIS system. The paper focuses on creation, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of zoning on more than 190,000 parcels. The project looks at how the County brought together and coordinated 13 different agencies to create one overall zoning layer that had never been available before. The paper explores how the County will maintain and update the layer. Finally, the paper looks at how agencies that shared their data are now able to view and maintain data on a GIS system.
