Maps Are Dead. Long Live Maps.Track: Database Design, Automation, and Management

Using a comprehensive data-centric conversion approach, the entire GIS data model can be compiled in open DBMS (e.g., the symbology, attribute data, network definition, graphics, and graphics placement rules). This unique approach enables the unification of data, from almost any source, into a single, consistent GIS database. Open- systems capabilities give the endusers the capability to maximize the effectiveness of integration with any GIS system platform they choose, ensuring open GIS adherence.
