Abstract
PlotFinder: A Custom GIS for the Cemetery IndustryTrack: Application Development

Techni Graphic Systems, Inc. (TGS), has developed PlotFinder, a new software product that is designed to help cemeteries easily manage their sales and interment information. PlotFinder combines MapObjects technology and Microsoft Visual Basic technology on the Windows platform. The proven product was developed by TGS in collaboration with Spring Grove Cemetery (Cincinnati, Ohio). Spring Grove contracted TGS to develop a system to manage its deteriorating paper records electronically. PlotFinder evolved out of that effort and has now been implemented at Spring Grove. TGS believes that the entire cemetery industry could greatly enhance productivity and customer satisfaction by embracing this type of technology.
