Abstract
Framework Land Cover Monitoring of California's Central ValleyTrack: Environment Management

This paper will discuss the background, development, and execution of a joint GIS project between the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation and the Fish and Wildlife Service. This program will perform long-term monitoring for changes in land cover and habitat in the Central Valley and will tie in with the United States Forest Service and California Department of Fish and Game's change detection program. It will also be a component of a multiagency effort for a California vegetation and land cover data set.
