LANDVIEW: A Visual Basic and MapObjects LT 2 ApplicationTrack: Application Development

Landview is a Windows 95/NT application designed for the non-GIS user to view GIS data. Landview has a GUI that makes communicating where the user wants to see data very straightforward, while the application finds the associated data pieces, displaying them as one seamless piece of information using predefined symbology. The paper will show how Landview makes it easy for novice users to set the map extent. An ArcView extension is provided to use Landview with ArcView DDE Server. Landview also has a GPS interface that supports NMEA standards.
