Abstract
Managing a Land Trust with GIS
Track: Ecology, Archaeology, and Conservation

Information management is a critical component of running a land trust. Unfortunately, the tools for organizing ownership information, determining site feasibility, managing contact information, and other day-to-day tasks have not been readily available from one piece of software. With GIS as the foundation, WorldView Solutions and The Conservation Fund are creating software that allows land trust staff to create and maintain all of their GIS and organizational data in one software package. This paper will explore the ways land trusts can maximize their ability to use GIS as the integrator for all of their data.
