Abstract
Winston-Salem/Police Foundation Partnership

The Jersey City/Police Foundation Partnership is a project funded by the National Institute of Justice in which the Police Foundation is facilitating the development of a school safety extension to ArcView. Using police and school data, the application will provide the police department and the school board the ability to geographically analyze incidents in and around schools. In addition, student pathways to school and student hangout data will be gathered and included in the analysis. The goal is to produce a simple and easy-to-use application that will bring together the partners in developing solutions to school safety issues.
