Abstract
Integration of GIS into an ERP Package for Process Manufacturers
Track: New Technology and Technology Integration

This paper will depict the uses of GIS and programming interfaces used in integrating GIS (ArcInfo, ArcIMS) with Adage, a leading ERP provider for process manufacturers. The interface is designed to allow users (sales force, executives, etc.) access to product sales by region and distribution centers via the map facility. The program will extract tabular data from the database (MS SQL, Oracle, Informix) and display the spatial distribution of sales data in a dynamic format over the Net. Users can select the point on the map and get the information about product mix, customer, locations, etc.
