Abstract
Delivering a Public-Centric ArcIMS Internet Application for Local Government

This paper will focus on the evolution and delivery of our GIS interface for the general public, MapSimple. As a privately held Web development organization, eGovEdge had the unique opportunity to integrate and deliver local GIS information in an easy-to-use interface for the general public's use. Our paper will show the evolution of our interface, tips and tricks for using ArcIMS, and a public GIS portal application. We will also offer some insight as to how we were able to integrate and obtain GIS information from our local government agencies.
