Abstract
New Technologies: A Challenge for the ANWB

A presentation on business opportunities for service providers using the back office GIS: emergency call, navigation, traffic information, tourism information, and other value-added information. Mobility Services targeted to the drivers--a business perspective. Off-board access to these services is offered to the drivers. The Customer Service Center (personal assistance based on voice contact) and the Automatic Service Center (based on data transmission to the screen in the car) were developed to deliver these services, all based on using GIS as the access to maps, POIs, and dynamic route navigation. Esri developed and designed the software for this new business opportunity for the ANWB. Transforming traditional business into one-to-one services, location-based throughout western Europe.
