Abstract
Tools and Training Opportunites for County Planning
Track: State and Local Government

This project aims to expand the use of geographic information resources at the state level and incorporate the data investments of counties and regional development commissions. Geospatial technology provides a strong visual representation of a community that assists local decision makers in understanding complex spatial relationships. The project incorporates a three-tier system that grows in complexity to address the various skill levels of planners and the various components of modeling processes.
