Abstract
Geo-commerce Using Esri's ArcIMS with IBM's WebSphere

Michael Baker Corperation and Zimmerman and Associates, Inc. (ZAI), have developed an e-commerce solution for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Map Service Center. FEMA's Flood Map Store Web site uses ArcIMS to spatially select products from an ArcSDE geodatabase of more than 130,000 inventory items. Customers can then purchase selected products and check out through the e-commerce storefront built using IBM's WebSphere Commerce Suite. The FEMA Flood Map Store features
· Integration of ArcIMS with WebSphere in a spatially enhanced e-commerce storefront
· Use of nationwide "geo-indexes" for spatial product selections
· Incorporation of a three terabyte digital library of 130,000 scanned inventory products
