This project was initiated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in collaboration with the State of North Carolina Emergency Management, Kinston-Lenoir County, North Carolina, and Esri. The project provides the foundation and marketing tools for communities and states to begin an assessment of their GIS capabilities to develop and utilize acquisition databases, mitigation planning, and tracking functions to create qualitative and visually dynamic GIS-based products.
