Community Colleges: Something for Everyone in GIS Education and Training

Community colleges across the country have embraced GIS and all related geospatial technologies and are offering education and training in a multitude of ways. Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan, has offered a GIS associates of applied science degree for the past 15 years. LCC has seen many changes in the type and delivery methods in GIS education and will share what has worked and what has not. The paper will also explore the integration of the Internet and hybrid and Web-based classes, LCC has developed as well as what's hot and whats not in business and corporate training.
