Abstract
Using a Custom ArcIMS Application for CDOT Corridor Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation Development, has implemented a new custom ArcIMS application for information management of transportation corridor projects. This Web-based application's primary function is to provide up-to-date GIS data and information to CDOT region offices, CDOT contractors, and the public. This paper will demonstrate the functionality of the ArcIMS Web site, specifically designed to allow the corridor project team to view and query GIS data and aerial photography along the transportation corridor and to submit spatially located comments to other project team members. Kuhns & Associates was contracted to customize ArcIMS with ColdFusion and provide an integrated Web-based tool that meets the demand for enterprise GIS at CDOT.
