Abstract
Spatially Enabling the Next Generation Internet
Track: New Technology and Technology Integration

This paper will present the results of the research done by the IMG group using Esri tools such as ArcIMS, MapObjects, ArcObjects, and ArcSDE to spatially enable new Web services (geoservices). It will discuss the various aspects of two new Internet frameworks-Microsoft's .NET and Sun's J2EE. These results will then be incorporated into the current Web Application Development Environment (Web ADE) used by the Ministry of Forests to generate the next generation Internet applications.
